Ron Berry (writer)

Ronald Anthony Berry (born February 23, 1920 in Blaenycwm ( Glamorganshire ), † July 16, 1997 in Pontypridd ) was a Welsh writer.

Life

After attending elementary and vocational school, Ronald Berry worked as a miner from the age of 14 . With the beginning of the Second World War he served in the army and in the merchant navy . He later worked in England as a factory worker and in construction. He also worked as a carpenter and manager of bathing establishments . From 1954 to 1955 he studied at the adult education institution Coleg Harlech in Harlech ( Merionethshire ). He then worked as a freelance writer.

Ron Berry has written novels, short stories, television plays and radio plays .
