Ronald Peter Fabbro CSB (born November 6, 1950 in Greater Sudbury , Canada ) is Bishop of London in Ontario .

Life

Ronald Peter Fabbro first studied mathematics and obtained his master's degree from the University of Toronto in 1993 . At the age of twenty-four, on August 15, 1975, he entered the congregation of St. Basil's Priests and made his first profession a year later . He was ordained a priest in this congregation on May 3, 1980 .

From 1981 to 1986 he studied moral theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome . In 1983 he obtained his licentiate here and received his doctorate in 1989 . From 1986 he taught as a professor at Saint Joseph's College, University of Alberta , and from 1990 at Saint Michael's College in Toronto .

In 1993 he became a member of the Order's leadership, from 1997 until his appointment as bishop in 2002 he was Superior General of the Basilius priests.

The appointment as Bishop of London (Ontario) by Pope John Paul II took place on April 27, 2002. His predecessor John Michael Sherlock donated him the episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year . Co- consecrators were Auxiliary Bishop Richard John Grecco from Toronto and the Bishop of Las Cruces , Ricardo Ramirez CSB.
