Rory Fleck-Byrne
Rory Fleck-Byrne (born 1988 or 1989 in England ) is an Irish actor .
childhood
Rory Fleck-Byrne was born in England and moved to Ireland at the age of nine. There he lived in Kilkenny until he moved to London in 2007 to complete his acting training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art . He completed this in 2010.
Career
He got his first acting job in 2010. In the play Antony and Cleopatra , he played Demetrius as Cleopatra alongside Kim Cattrall . In 2014 he appeared in The Quiet Ones . He played the assistant of a psychological scientist who questions his brutal research methods. In 2016, he appeared as Ruby in the movie Tiger Raid . In 2017 he played Daniel Marney in the British-American drama series Harlots . Fleck Byrne's character Daniel falls in love with the director of a brothel. Later in 2017, Fleck Byrne starred alongside Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan in The Foreigner . Fleck Byrne played Brosnan's nephew, Sean Morrison, a former British Navy officer. He later said shooting the film was one of his most beautiful and challenging experiences. He had to train with a stunt team to learn martial arts and empathize with the mind of a hit man. As he was very fond of martial arts, he continued to train with a trainer in London after the film was over. Fleck Byrne has also worked as a writer, actor and producer on the short films Inbox and Bodies . Set in Fleck Byrne's hometown Kilkenny, Bodies is about two undertakers trying to stay connected with life. Inbox was published using the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.com .
In addition to his appearances in film and television, Fleck Byrne can be seen repeatedly on theater stages, for example in King Charles III (2014–2015), Anna Karenina (2016) or The Phlebotomist (2018).
Private life
Besides acting, Fleck Byrne loves to sing. In an interview he mentioned that if he wasn't an actor he would have fronted a band. He writes his own songs and lives in London.
