Marcellus is a French municipality with 863 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Marmande and the canton of Marmande-1 (until 2015 Meilhan-sur-Garonne ). The inhabitants are called Marcellusiens .

geography

Marcellus is about eight kilometers west-southwest of Marmande . Marcellus is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Couthures-sur-Garonne in the north, Gaujac in the northeast, Montpuillan in the east and southeast, Cocumont in the south and southwest and Meilhan-sur-Garonne in the west and northwest.
