The Arrondissement of Marmande is an administrative district in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the French region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
history
On March 4, 1790, with the establishment of the Lot-et-Garonne department, a District de Marmande was also founded, parts of which corresponded to today's arrondissement. On February 17, 1800, the district and a few cantons were added to the arrondissement.
From September 10, 1926 to June 1, 1942, parts of the Arrondissement Nérac, which was dissolved during this period, belonged to the Arrondissement Marmande.

geography
The arrondissement borders in the north on the arrondissements Libourne in the department Gironde and Bergerac in the department Dordogne , in the east on the arrondissement Villeneuve-sur-Lot , in the southeast on the arrondissement Agen , in the south on the arrondissement Nérac and in the west on the arrondissement Langon in Gironde department.
There are six constituencies (cantons) in the arrondissement:
