Beaupuy ( Occitan : Bèthpug ) is a French municipality with 1,650 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Beaupuy belongs to the arrondissement of Marmande and the canton of Marmande-1 (until 2015: canton of Marmande-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called bellopodiens .

geography

Beaupuy is about 52 kilometers northwest of Agen . In the north, the gupie limits the community. The Côtes du Marmandais wine-growing region extends into the municipality. Beaupuy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Castelnau-sur-Gupie in the north, Mauvezin-sur-Gupie in the north and northeast, Marmande in the east and south, and Sainte-Bazeille in the west.
