The Rose is a 8.1 km long orographic left tributary of the Brachtpe . The stream flows entirely in the area of the town of Drolshagen, which belongs to the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Olpe .

The stream rises on the northern outskirts of Wegeringhausen at an altitude of 438 m above sea level. NN . First flowing south, the Rose crosses Wegeringhausen. On the southern outskirts of the village, the Rose turns its course to the southeast, flowing through Hützemert and then Drolshagen . On the south-eastern outskirts of Drolshagen, the rose turns to the northeast and turns again to the southeast at Wenkhausen .
About 1.1 km above the mouth, water is knocked off at a weir into the upper mill ditch of the listed Eichener mill . The mill ditch runs about 800 m parallel to the rose and flows into the mill pond above the mill. Water from the Brachtpe is fed into this pond via another ditch. While the water was previously used to operate the mill, it now flows over the mill waste ditch into the Brachtpe.
The rose itself flows east of oaks at 316 m above sea level. NN in the Brachtpe . With a height difference of 122 m, the mean bed slope is 15.1 ‰.
