The Brachtpe is a 10.5 km long tributary of the Biggetalsperre and thus an orographically left tributary of the Bigge in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Olpe , Germany .

geography

The river has its source immediately east of Hahn in the Oberbergischer Kreis . The source is at an altitude of 435  m above sea level. NN in a small artificial pond. Flowing eastwards, the Brachtpe reaches the Olpe district after approx. 500 meters. Here it flows past Cough to Iseringhausen . About one kilometer east of the village, the brook turns to the northeast, flows east past Fohrt and west past the village Brachtpe to Berlinghausen . Below the village, the rose flows before the stream at 307  m above sea level. NN flows into the Biggetalsperre . With a height difference of 128 meters, the mean bed gradient between the source and the mouth is 12.2 ‰.

The 49.398 km² catchment area covers large parts of the city of Drolshagen and is drained to the North Sea via Bigge , Lenne , Ruhr and Rhine .

Tributaries

The most important tributary of the Brachtpe is the Rose with a length of 8.1 km. With a catchment area of ​​26.241 km², the rose contributes around 50% to the catchment area of ​​the Brachtpe. The tributaries of the Brachtpe, which are listed in the register of waters, are named below.
