Rose Tata-Muya

Rose Tata-Muya (born Tata; born June 12, 1960 ) is a former Kenyan hurdler , sprinter and middle distance runner .

At the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974, she was eighth over 800 m and in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

Over 800 she was sixth at the Athletics World Cup in 1977 in Düsseldorf and reached the semi-finals at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton.

At the African Athletics Championships in Dakar in 1979 , she won silver over the 800 m and 400 m hurdles .

In 1982 she took bronze over 400 m hurdles at the African Championships in Cairo . At the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane she was seventh with the Kenyan 4 x 400 meter relay and was eliminated in the 400 m and 400 m hurdles in the prelim.

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 , she did not get over 400 m hurdles beyond the first round.

In 1987 she won silver over 400 m hurdles at the African Games in Nairobi with her personal best of 55.94 s and reached the semi-finals at the World Cup in Rome .

In the same discipline, she was eliminated from the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul in the preliminary stages and was ninth at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland.
