Rosenspitz group

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rosenspitz group is a mountain ridge of the Venediger group in East Tyrol . The highest peak of the Rosenspitze group is the eponymous Rosenspitze ( 3060  m above sea level ). With the exception of the western and northern slopes, the entire Rosenspitz group lies in the Hohe Tauern National Park .

location

The Rosenspitz group is located in the southwest of the Venediger group. It is bounded in the east by the Großbach, in the south by the Trojer Almbach , in the southwest by the Leitbach and in the west by its continuation, the Daberbach . South of the Rosenspitz range lies the Panargenkamm , from which the Rosenspitz range is separated by the Daberlenke. The Lasörling group begins east of the Rosenspitz group, separated by the Bachlenke . Other neighboring mountain ridges are the Maurer ridge in the north and the Prettaukamm in the west.

The Rosenspitz group is a comparatively small, but heavily branched mountain ridge. The eponymous Rosenspitze is located in the west and consists of the south-west and north-east or main summit. The southeast ridge of the Rosenspitze falls over the Rosenlenke into the Dabertal. The northeast ridge of the Rosenspitze runs over the Rasbachklarscharte to the Großschober and then branches off to the northeast to the Rasenegg and the Kleinschober. The southeast ridge of the Rosenspitze is an extremely fragile connection ridge to the Reichenbergerspitze and then drops over the Weißen Klapf into the Großbachtal. From the Reichenbergerspitze itself, the south ridge runs over the Bachlenkenscharte to the two peaks of the Gray Wall before it branches off to the east to the Bachlenkopf.

The Neue Reichenberger Hütte and the Clarahütte are particularly relevant as alpine bases for the Rosenspitz group .
