The Reichenberger peak is 3030  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Lasörling group in East Tyrol .

Location and surroundings

The Reichenbergerspitze is a south-eastern pre-summit of the Rosenspitze ( 3060  m ) and is connected to it by a sharp ridge that continues south to the 2816  m high Gray Wall and on to the 2759  m high Bachlenkenkopf . In the north is the Rasbachkar , in the southeast the Bachlenkenkar , two cirques above the Großbachtal , which flows into the Virgental . Southwest of the Reichenberger Spitze, the Sentenboden lies above the Trojer Almbach valley, a side valley of the Defereggental .

Ascent

The starting point for an ascent of the Reichenberger Spitze is the Neue Reichenberger Hütte ( 2586  m ), located about two kilometers to the south-east , which is either from St. Jakob in Defereggen through the Trojeralmtal (5 hours) or from the Hinterbichl car park in Ströden through the Großbachtal (4 hours). is attainable. The Reichenberger Spitze can be reached from the hut in around two hours. The route leads over the Bachlenkenkopf, the Graue Wand and the connecting ridge to the summit. This ascent is part of a route to the Rosenspitze, which has difficulty level II (UIAA) , in places also III.

The Reichenberger Spitze was first climbed in 1924 by F. Czastka and his companions .
