history
The village of Rosenwinkel is first mentioned in a document on March 14, 1462 in Tangermünde : In this document Dietrich and his cousin Hans von Plessen confess that they and their male heirs, Margrave Friedrich the Younger of Brandenburg , also called the Fette, castle and town of Freyenstein as well sold the villages of Grabow and Rosenwinkel with all their accessories for 950 Rhenish guilders as a hereditary fiefdom .
Noble families who formerly owned the Rosenwinkel manor were the von Klitzing , von Karstedt , von Pauli and von Freier families, as well as the Giere, Blueten, Cosel , von Stille , von Blumenthal , von Platen and von Lüderitz families .
The associated manor house was used for purposes other than intended in 1945 and in the following years, and parts of the building were removed for the extraction of building materials. The building fragments that still existed until mid-1989 were completely removed shortly afterwards.
