Blumenthal is a district of Heiligengrabe in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg .
history
The area was already settled in the Bronze Age. Urns from this period have been discovered in the village. Shards of Roman origin were also found. The first written mention of the place dates from 1263, but already in 1241 a person named "von Blumenthal" was mentioned. With the municipality reform of Brandenburg in 2003 , the place was merged with others to form the municipality of Heiligengrabe.

In the village, the state road 144 joins the state road 145. The latter connects Blumenthal with Wittstock / Dosse , about 15 kilometers away , from where the Wittstock / Dosse motorway triangle can be reached. Motorways 19 and 24 will be merged there.
With the listed Blumenthal (Mark) train station, the district has access to the Neustadt – Meyenburg railway line .
