environment

According to the investigation by the Ministry for the Environment and Nature Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , the Rospebach predominantly has a water quality of II. This means that the creek is considered to be moderately polluted for long stretches. The structural quality of the river is assigned to structural quality classes 6 and 7 for more than 70% of the course of the river. The course of the river has therefore changed significantly, 38% even completely changed.

After a distance of about 1 km, the stream reaches the Wasserfuhr district. From here the course of the river is accompanied by traffic routes: in the village itself by the county road 42, behind Wasserfuhr comes the federal road 256 from the north and the Volmetalbahn on the eastern slope of the valley. The federal road and rail line accompany the river to its confluence with the Agger.
