Ross Bellah

Ross Bellah (born January 27, 1907 in Blum , Texas , † February 2, 2004 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American production designer and art director .

Life

Bellah began his film staff career in Leigh Jason's comedy Nine Girls in 1944 . After films like Thirsty Lips and With a Gun in Hand , he worked for television for the first time in 1953. 1957 he worked for Richard Quine's romantic comedy The woman in golden Cadillac along with William Kiernan and Louis Diage for the Oscar in the category Best Production Design nominated, but the award went this year to the boxing film Somebody Up There Likes Me by director Robert Wise . Bellah's other films include The Executioner Is On The Move , April discovers men and strangers when we meet .

From the 1960s he worked almost exclusively for television, where he participated in numerous television series until the late 1980s. These included, among other things, 139 episodes of Charming Jeannie , 254 episodes of In Love with a Witch , 96 episodes of The Partridge Family , 95 episodes of Fantasy Island and 89 episodes of TJ Hooker . For his work he was nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy between 1975 and 1987 , which he was never able to win.
