Louis Diage
Louis Thomas Diage (born July 22, 1905 in Illinois , † October 9, 1979 in San Clemente , California ) was an American production designer for films.
Life
From 1936 Louis Diage worked as a production designer, initially for small film studios. In 1943 he landed a contract with Columbia Pictures . By the early 1960s he worked in more than 80 feature films. He worked particularly often at Columbia with director Richard Quine . He was nominated three times with other production designers for the Oscar in the category Best Production Design, among others for Pal Joey (1957) with Frank Sinatra and Rita Hayworth and My Bride is Paranormal (1958) with James Stewart and Kim Novak . From 1954 Diage also worked for US television, such as B. for the series Verliebt in einer Hexe (1964–1967) and Bewitching Jeannie (1965–1969). He died in San Clemente , California in 1979 at the age of 74 .
