Ross Fisher (born November 22, 1980 in Ascot ) is an English professional golfer on the European Tour .

Career

Fisher was brought to the game of golf by his stepfather at the age of three and trained at the exclusive Wentworth Club of which he remains a member. In 2003 he won the Finnish Amateur Open Championship and became a professional golfer the following year .

About the Challenge Tour and the Tour School Fisher qualified for the European Tour from the 2006 season, which he finished 66th in the money list. In 2007 he won the first tournament at the KLM Open in Holland and a year later he won the highly endowed European Open at The London Golf Club . In 2009 Fisher won the Volvo World Match Play Championship and finished the season in fourth place in the Race to Dubai , the new annual ranking of the European Tour.

Fisher has been married to his wife Joanne since 2007 and lives with her and their daughter Eve (* 2009) in Cheam , Greater London .
