Ross Gasworth

Ross Gasworth is an American cellist and music teacher.

Gasworth began playing the cello at the age of three. He studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Richard Aaron and Stephen Geber and continued his education with Eugene Osadchy at the University of North Texas and Michel Strauss at the Paris Conservatory . He was cellist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic , the San Diego Symphony , the Houston Symphony Orchestra , the Fort Worth Symphony , the New World Symphony and the Artosphere Festival Orchestra, and principal cellist with the Waco Symphony and the Miami Symphony .

As a soloist Gasworth has appeared with the Rochester Symphony , the Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony , the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Orchestra , the Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra and the UCI Symphony . Michael Tilson Thomas hired him as principal cellist for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House .
