The Rote Pfütze is a left tributary of the Zschopau in the Saxon Erzgebirgskreis , Germany .

The red puddle has its source in a moor near the Finkenburg, northwest of Schlettau . At the moorland, it absorbs the water from the Wolfersbach and initially flows south towards the Scheibenberg . After about two kilometers it turns in the direction of Schlettau and then flows north at Schlettau Castle into the Zschopau.
Others
The former mining area of the city of Schlettau is located on the Krummen Weg north of the Rote Pfütze. The mouth hole is only provided with a water passage. Access to the Grüner Zweig treasure trove with the grace of God adit is via a bucket on the river.
