The Rote Brauhaus , also known as the Braunes Brauhaus , is a listed building in Pappenheim , a town in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia . The building with the address Marktplatz 4 is registered under monument number D-5-77-158-121 as a monument in the Bavarian monument list.

Erected in 1590 by the master builder Gilg Vältin , it served as the count's brewery for the Marshals von Pappenheim . The name of the renaissance building came from the red beer that was brewed here. Today the two-storey saddle roof building with a tail gable and a small standing bay window is an inn .
