Rotopolpress is an independent publisher from Kassel with a focus on comics and illustration .

The publishing house was founded in 2007 by Rita Fürstenau, Lisa Röper and Michael Meier, who were students at the Kassel Art College . An office with shop, studio, screen printing workshop and gallery was built at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 95. The publisher presented itself at the Erlangen Comic Salon , the Hamburg Comic Festival and the Angoulême Festival .

In 2014 two works, Lescheks Flug by Sebastian Stamm and Pimo & Rex by Thomas Wellmann, were awarded the ICOM Independent Comic Prize . In 2018 the publisher received the Hessian Publishing Prize, which was awarded for the first time . In 2020 the publisher received the German Publishing Prize .
