José Selva e Amaral SDB (born November 3, 1886 in Cortenova , Italy ; † August 13, 1956 ) was the prelate of Registro do Araguaia .

Life

José Selva e Amaral joined the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco in and received on 18 January 1914, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 27, 1937, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the titular bishop of Metrae and prelates of Registro do Araguaia. The Archbishop of Olinda e Recife , Miguel de Lima Valverde , donated him episcopal ordination on April 24, 1938 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Pesqueira , Adalberto Accioli Sobral , and the Bishop of Cajazeiras , João da Matha de Andrade e Amaral .
