Roxana Zal

Roxana Zal (born November 8, 1969 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Zal made her debut in an episode of the television series Hart but cordially from 1981, for which role she received the Young Artist Award in 1983 . In the film drama Table for Five (1983) she played one of the bigger roles alongside Jon Voight and Richard Crenna , for which she won the Young Artist Award again in 1984. In the film drama The Last Testament (1983), she played a daughter of Carol Wetherly ( Jane Alexander ), who is alone after a nuclear war to care for three children. For this role, Zal was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1985.

In the television drama Something About Amelia (1984), Zal appeared on the side of Ted Danson and Glenn Close . For this role she received an Emmy in 1984 - as the youngest ever recipient in the history of the award - and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in 1985. In 1986 she received her third Young Artist Award for her role on CBS Schoolbreak Special: God, the Universe & Hot Fudge Sundaes .

In the crime drama Das Messer am Ufer (1986), Zal played a bigger role alongside Crispin Glover and Keanu Reeves . She took on one of the leading roles in the television drama Daughter of the Night (1990). In the 1990s she appeared in a number of independent films such as the dramas Land of Milk and Honey (1996) and Broken Vessels (1998). For the role in the second of these films, which she also co-produced, she received the 1998 audience award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival .
