Rubén Lobato
Rubén Lobato Elvira (born September 1, 1978 in San Sebastián de los Reyes , suburb of Madrid ) is a former Spanish cyclist .
In 2001 he joined the Café Baqué cycling team . He ended his career in 2008 with the UCI ProTeam Scott-American Beef . Lobato competed in all Grand Tours and was sixteenth in the 2004 Giro d'Italia . His only victory at international level was the mountain classification of the Tour de Romandie in 2005 .
On June 17, 2009, the UCI announced that Rubén Lobato and four other drivers had started doping proceedings because of abnormalities in their blood profiles. The irregularities could be determined based on the blood passport introduced in 2008. Lobato was banned for two years in 2010.
