Rudolf Bester (also Rudolph ; born July 19, 1983 in Walvis Bay , South West Africa ) is a former Namibian soccer player .

The striker began his career in 2003 with LHU Blue Waters FC . With this club he was 2004 Namibian champion. In 2006 he joined the Eleven Arrows , with whom he was under contract until early 2008. In February 2008 he went to Europe for the Serbian club FK Čukarički , for whom he scored two goals in 23 games before returning to the Eleven Arrows in 2009 . In the same year he moved to the South African club Maritzburg United , which he left for the 2010/11 season for Namibia for the Orlando Pirates . For the 2014/15 season Bester moved again to the South African Premier Soccer League with the Free State Stars . He ended his career with the Eleven Arrows in his home country in 2018.

As part of the qualifying games for the 2010 World Cup , he played five times for his country. His last goal was on March 3, 2010 in the away game against South Africa.

2000 and 2004 Bester was Namibian soccer champion with LHU Blue Waters FC . He is a national player and was part of the Namibian national soccer team for the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana.

In 2007 Bester was voted Footballer of the Year in Namibia .

In the 2009/10 season of the South African Premier Soccer League , Bester won the “Goal of the Season Award” (comparable to Goal of the Year ).

The best is the record scorer of the national team with 13 goals.
