Rudolf Bolek

Rudolf Bolek (born October 9, 1887 in Weinbergen , Western Galicia , † January 18, 1940 in Poznan ) was a teacher and politician.

Life

Bolek attended teacher training institutes in Bielsko and Chernivtsi and became a teacher in vineyards. After the First World War he was a teacher in Lviv . 1920/21 attended the teachers' academy in Vienna. In the Second Polish Republic he was chairman of the German People's Council for Galicia . In 1924 he replaced Theodor Zöckler after his election as superintendent of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg and Helvetic Confessions in Lesser Poland . Bolek was also head of the Galicia-German Raiffeisen Association in Lemberg around 1938 .
