Rudolf Prince

Rudolf Fürst (born July 22, 1868 in Prague , † March 14, 1922 in Berlin ) was an Austrian German scholar and literary historian .

Life

Rudolf Fürst was the son of the doctor Ludwig Fürst (1835–1871) and Antonie, geb. Forchheimer (1843-1907). He studied German at the Karl Ferdinand University in Prague, where he received his doctorate in 1893. phil. PhD. From 1902 to 1905 he was archive manager and editor there, as well as a private scholar, employee of numerous literary journals and permanent correspondent for the stage and the world; Journal for theater, literature and art . In 1905 he went to Berlin, then for some time to study in Italy and Paris.

Rudolf Fürst is the author of numerous representations and editions on the history of Bohemian, Austrian and German literary history .

He married his cousin Margarethe (the date of the wedding is unknown), had a son with her, Ludwig (* 1900 in Prague) and died in Berlin in 1922.
