NGC 5075 is a 13.9 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type "E0" in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 289 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 50,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 5059 , NGC 5071 , NGC 5080 , IC 4223 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 25, 1865 .
