NGC 5058 is a 13.8 mag bright, spiral-shaped dwarf galaxy of the Hubble-type Sbc in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 42 million light years from the Milky Way and <10,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on June 2, 1883 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel .
