NGC 5034 is a 13.5 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is an estimated 395 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on April 7, 1793 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "vF, vS, R".
