NGC 5025 is a 13.6 may bright spiral galaxy with active galaxies core from the Hubble type Sb in the constellation of the hounds . It is estimated to be 285 million light years from the Milky Way and about 170,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered on March 20, 1787 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "vF, S, lE".
