NGC 5030 is a 12.7 mag bright lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0-a in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 102 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 55,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 5017 , NGC 5031 , NGC 5035 , NGC 5037 .
The object was discovered by Edward Singleton Holden on March 17, 1881 .
