NGC 5060 is a 13.3 mag bright bar spiral galaxy of the Hubble type "SBb" in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 276 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 90,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 5027 and IC 872 .
The object was discovered on April 17, 1863 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
