Rudolf Graber (writer)

Rudolf Graber (born July 8, 1899 in Säckingen , † January 26, 1958 in Basel ) was a Swiss writer .

Life

Rudolf Graber grew up in Säckingen in Baden and, after the death of his father, from 1911 in Männedorf and Basel . He obtained a teaching certificate and then completed a study of German literature , Romance languages and history at the Universities of Basel and Würzburg . Afterwards he worked as a teacher at the Realgymnasium Basel . Here he was Urs Widmer's teacher : "I owe Rudolf Graber the textual dramaturgy that is still deep within me today."

Rudolf Graber's literary work includes novels and stories as well as a travel book about France and dramas . He was best known for his Basel ferry stories .
