Rudolf hero

Rudolf Held (born March 22, 1911 in Bach (Westerwald) ; † May 22, 1987 ) was a German politician ( SED ).

Life

Held, the son of a working-class family, attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a blacksmith. He then worked in this profession and as a machine worker. He was a member of the workers' sports club and the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold

After the end of the war he became a member of the KPD in 1945 and of the SED in 1946 . 1945/1946 he headed the technical office of the city of Bad Wilsnack . From 1947 to 1949 he was the working area secretary of the SED district leadership in Perleberg . In 1949/1950 he was employed by the social security fund in the Bad Wilsnack and Nauen branches . 1951/1952 he worked as chairman of the district party control commission (KPKK) of the SED district leadership Osthavelland-Nauen . 1952/1953 he was a member of the District Party Control Commission (BPKK) Frankfurt (Oder) . 1954/1955 Held studied at the party college "Karl Marx" of the SED. He was then from 1955 to 1960 first chairman of the BPKK in the Frankfurt (Oder) district and then until 1963 second secretary of the SED district leadership in Frankfurt (Oder). From 1955 to 1964 he was a member of the Frankfurt (Oder) district assembly.

Later Held was secretary of the basic SED organization in the council of Altentreptow district and deputy chairman of the council of the district for home affairs. Held retired in May 1976.
