Rudolf König (born April 25, 1957 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is a former Austrian ice hockey player . His son Christoph König was also a long-time player at the EC KAC. He is the clear record holder in the points list of the Austrian national ice hockey team .

Career

Rudolf König started his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the EC KAC , for which he was active in the Austrian ice hockey league from 1973 to 1989 . During this period, the attacker was Austrian champion nine times with his team. After 16 years he left the club and joined the EC Graz , for which he played another three years in the top Austrian league.

International

For Austria , König took part in the C World Championships in 1981 , the B World Championships in 1979 , 1982 , 1983 and 1985 as well as the Winter Olympics in Innsbruck in 1976 , in Sarajevo in 1984 and in Calgary in 1988 .

  • Nine times Austrian champion with the EC KAC in 1974, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988
