Rudolf Kaeser-Rueff
Rudolf Kaeser-Rueff (also Hans Rudolf Kaeser , born April 6, 1870 in Vienna , † 1932 in Kiel ) was an Austrian painter, illustrator, graphic artist, opera singer and composer, mainly active in Germany.
Kaeser-Rueff was born the son of an art dealer. He studied from October 28, 1885 to 1889 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Ludwig von Herterich , Karl Raupp and Ludwig von Löfftz .
Kaeser-Rueff took part in the exhibitions in the Munich Glass Palace , the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and in the Künstlerhaus Vienna .
Kaeser-Rueff was also an opera singer for several years. As a composer he published several chamber music pieces in addition to 5 volumes of songs. In 1922 the world premiere of his opera Doctor Eisenbarth took place in Kiel .
Rudolf Kaeser-Rueff worked for the Munich magazine “ Jugend ”, a member of the “ Luitpold Group ” association, the Reich Association of German Visual Artists and the Schleswig-Holstein Artists' Cooperative. He worked temporarily in Munich, Strasbourg and Mannheim and settled in Kiel.
