Rudolf Kleine (born September 27, 1918 in Helmstedt ; † 2001 ) was a German politician . He was a member of the social policy committee of the SPD and federal chairman of the Reich Association of War Victims and Civilians, Social Pensioners and Survivors .

Live and act

Rudolf Kleine trained as a journalist from 1946 to 1951 . Through an editor's position at the Reich Association of War Victims, Disabled People, Social Pensioners and Survivors eV (today: SoVD), he took on further tasks within this humanitarian institution in 1953. First he was head of the parliamentary liaison office of the Reichsbund in Bonn from 1953 to 1960. In this way he became very familiar with the politics of war victims .

After Paul Neumann's death, Kleine was elected as his successor as first federal chairman. His term of office lasted from 1961 to 1979. Although the foundation stone for the " integ " was laid during his term of office , he continued to focus on policy on coping with the consequences of the war.

In addition, in 1962 he took over the chairmanship of the supervisory board of the non-profit Reichsbund Wohnungsbau- und Siedlungs-GmbH. He was also a member of the advisory board for the rehabilitation of the disabled at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs . From 1963 he worked as Vice President of the World Federation of Persons with Physical Disability (FIMITIC). Ten years later he was appointed chairman of the Standing Committee for European Affairs of the World Front Fighters Association (WFV).

His resignation from the federal chairmanship of the Reichsbund in 1979 took place officially for health reasons, but it became known that he had lost support in the association due to his authoritarian leadership style.

Rudolf Kleine, who died in 2001, was a member of the SPD state association in North Rhine-Westphalia . He exercised his highest political function as a member of the social policy committee of the SPD party executive.
