Rudolf Kurtz (writer)

Rudolf Kurtz (born December 31, 1884 in Berlin ; † July 26, 1960 there ) was a German writer, essayist, playwright, screenwriter and film journalist.

Life

In Berlin, the essayist Rudolf Kurtz was inextricably linked with the development of German film from 1910 onwards. The editor-in-chief of the Lichtbild-Bühne was an expressionist . From 1913 he worked as a dramaturge and screenwriter for Ernst Lubitsch , the director Max Mack and also for Paul Leni . In 1915 he worked on the Katzensteg and in 1917/1918 on the mystery of Bangalor and the White Terror (screenplay).
