Rudolf Reiter

Rudolf Reiter (born April 15, 1930 in Simbach am Inn ; † February 17, 2015 in Frontenhausen ) was a German mechanical engineer and university professor .

Reiter attended school in Simbach, Linz and Mühldorf am Inn and, after graduating from high school, studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich . After completing his degree, he worked in control engineering at JM Voith in Heidenheim an der Brenz . From 1961 to 1971 he worked as a lecturer at the Oskar von Miller Polytechnic in Munich , then until 1992 as a professor for control and automation technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Rosenheim , where he was involved in setting up the production engineering course until 1987 , which he also directed . From 1978 to 1982 he was Vice President of the FH Rosenheim. He was also chairman of the Association of Lecturers at Bavarian Engineering Schools from 1967 to 1972 , then from 1973 to 1980 a member of the Bavarian university planning commission, from 1978 to 1981 chairman of the structural advisory board of the Landshut University of Applied Sciences .

From 1992 to 1997 Reiter was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
