Rudolf Artur Reppert (born June 1, 1881 in St. Johann , † April 24, 1968 in Bad Honnef ) was a German chemist , entrepreneur and politician of the NSDAP .

Life

Rudolf Reppert grew up in a corporate family that had been running glassworks since the 17th century . After attending primary school , he also graduated from secondary school in Saarbrücken and then studied chemistry, metallurgy, geology, economics and philosophy at colleges and universities in Munich, Halle and Berlin. In Munich he became active in the Corps Isaria with Friedrich Frankenbach in 1903 . In 1907 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . He then went to the Technical University of Charlottenburg as an assistant . In 1909 he joined the syndicate of the United Bottle Huts Saarbrücken and became an authorized signatory . This was followed by activities as a director for the L. Reppert Sohn glassworks in Friedrichshafen and at Oldenburgische Glashütte AG, which bought the glassworks in 1913.

In 1914 he took part in the First World War as an officer , but was seriously injured on November 11, 1914 and was considered 60% war-damaged. He therefore spent the remainder of the First World War as a consultant for the trade and commerce department in Belgium . From 1921 he worked for Hugo Stinnes GmbH and helped build the most modern glass workshop in Europe. From April 1924 to April 1933 he was the general representative of Glaswerke Ruhr AG in Essen - Karnap .

On August 1, 1930, he joined the NSDAP and thus became the first National Socialist of Rheinbreitbach as well as local group and base leader there . In November 1933 he took over the office of district leader of Neuwied-Nord. He gave up this office in 1933 and became district administrator for the Neuwied district until the end of the war in 1945 . In addition, at the time of National Socialism he was Oberfeldführer of the German Red Cross and in the Koblenz-Trier Gau from November 1931 to 1940, district consultant and then district manager for technology. He was also the local chairman of the NSKOV's court of honor .

After the end of the war, Reppert was interned and initially classified as a victim in the denazification process . Further purge judgments followed with respective revisions. On October 28, 1949, the Koblenz Chamber of Justice classified him as a “minor offender”, so that his retirement salary as a district administrator was only reduced by 10%. The further appeal proceedings ended with the termination of the proceedings.
