Rudolf Zankl

Rudolf Zankl (born September 3, 1920 in Redenfelden , today Raubling , † January 27, 1974 in Munich ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Zankl first attended the elementary and advanced training school in Rosenheim , then after the Second World War evening courses, through which he acquired the secondary school leaving certificate. After a year in the country and a service obligation, he worked as a businessman. In 1940 he was drafted into the Reich Labor Service and the 1st Mountain Division in Garmisch . In 1945, after several campaigns and two wounds in Erding, he was released as a senior hunter. From 1945 to 1949 he worked as a clerk at the district offices in Rosenheim and Mühldorf , after which he worked independently in Mühldorf before moving to Garmisch in 1951 to work for an American civil company. In 1955 he was transferred to Munich, where he worked at the cash desk at the local employment office. In 1957 he moved to the Munich city administration, where he was chairman of the staff council at the department for district administration and public order in the police headquarters. From 1962 to 1970 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He was directly elected twice in a constituency in Munich. Zankl died of a heart attack.
