Rudolf Otto Gerhardt Freiherr von Nettelbladt , also Rudolph ( November 26, 1814 in Güstrow ; † February 17, 1898 in Schwerin ) was a German administrative lawyer and chamber president in Mecklenburg-Schwerin .

Life

Rudolf von Nettelbladt came from the baronial branch of the originally Rostock family Nettelbladt and was a son of the Higher Appeal Court Councilor Christian Karl Friedrich Wilhelm von Nettelbladt from his third marriage to Eva Wilhelmine Elisabeth Hedwig, born in 1813. von Pressentin (1793–1831) and nephew of the university librarian Christian Erhard von Nettelbladt .

He grew up in Parchim and attended the Friedrich-Franz-Gymnasium (Parchim) . In 1834 he began studying law at the University of Göttingen , where he became a member of the Corps Vandalia Göttingen. At the University of Heidelberg he is proven in 1836 as a member of the Corps Vandalia III Heidelberg . In 1837 he finished his studies at the University of Rostock . After taking the legal exam, he entered the administrative service of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin on January 11, 1842 and was initially an auditor at the Ribnitz office . Until 1856 he worked in various administrative offices. He was appointed as the beginning of 1856 Hülfsarbeiter appointed to the Ministry of the Interior in Schwerin, he was appointed Councilor had occurred on December 24, 1856. In 1859 he was Councilor and member of the Grand Ducal Chamber and Forestry College. In 1867 he was promoted to the Privy Councilor; In 1872 he moved to the Ministry of Finance as a ministerial director . At Easter 1875, as President of the Chamber, he was entrusted with the management of the Chamber and Forestry College, the then higher authority for the administration of the Domanium and the forests. He remained in this position until his retirement on October 1, 1893 after more than 50 years in the administrative service of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

His particular interest was the Geomoeter -wesen. He was a founding member of the Mecklenburg Geometer Association and since 1879 a member of the German Geometer Association . He campaigned for the organization and reform of public surveying, achieved permanent state employment for all surveyors on behalf of the state in Mecklenburg on July 1, 1888, and initiated uniform training and examination regulations for geometers in the German Reich. In 1884 he organized the general meeting of the German Geometer Association in Schwerin.

Since May 23, 1848 he was married to (Maria) Therese (Babette), b. Hahnel (1818-1861).
