The Rugenwedelsau is an approx. 4.6 kilometers long stream in Norderstedt and Bönningstedt . It is a tributary of the Mühlenau (Pinnau) .

course

It rises in Norderstedt west of Niendorfer Straße north of Hamburg Airport . It then runs to the west, crosses under the Ohechaussee and then flows past a retention basin . It is accompanied by horse and footpaths. It then flows to another pond or retention basin and then on to the Hamburg Wendlohe Golf Club. Here it receives the Ohmoorgraben coming from the south , which comes from the Ohemoor, as a tributary. Then it crosses under the Wendloher Weg, the A7 and the Schnelsener Weg, where it receives another tributary, the Wendloher Graben coming from the south . It flows into the Mühlenau (Pinnau) on a path .

Trivia

  • In August 2013, the stream was colored blue by the industrial dye copper phthalocyanine . The fire brigade then blocked the stream for 1.2 km with 90 men. The cause of the staining is unclear. The paint got through the Mühlenau into the Pinnau and Elbe, where it thinned .
