Rui Ukida ( Jap. 浮田留衣 , Ukida Rui * 6. June 1996 in Kushiro , Hokkaido ) is a Japanese hockey player who since their career start for the Daishin Hockey Club in the All Japan Women's Ice Hockey Championship on the position of the striker plays and has also been a member of the Japanese women's national team since 2012 .

Ukita is twelve years old and belongs to the Daishin Hockey Club and plays with them in the All Japan Women's Ice Hockey Championship . For the Japanese national team, she first came to international assignments as a 15-year-old among the U18 juniors. With the U18 team, she took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in Division I in 2012 and 2013 - at that time still as a defender . In 2013 she managed to get promoted to the top division with the Japanese as well as the award as the best defender of the tournament. In the same year, Ukita made her debut - meanwhile being retrained to be a striker - for the Japanese women's national team . She reached with the team the qualification for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the promotion to the top division at the World Championship of Division IA .

In 2014, Ukita initially worked with the women at the Winter Olympics and then for the U18 women at the U18 World Junior Championships . This she finished as the third best scorer of the entire tournament. As a result, the striker was part of Japan's permanent squad at international tournaments, and a trip to the Ontario Hockey Academy in the 2015/16 season didn't stop her . Among other things, she managed to return to the top division at the 2017 Division IA World Championships , after successfully qualifying for the Olympic Games again and winning the gold medal at the 2017 Asian Winter Games . As part of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang Ukida belonged again to the Japanese squad.
