The Rumbach is a 2.7 km long watercourse in the southern Palatinate part of the Wasgau ( Rhineland-Palatinate ) and a right tributary of the Lauter , which is still called Wieslauter here on its upper course .

The Rumbach rises at an altitude of 255  m above sea level. NN in the middle Wasgau in the Dahner Felsenland north of the Beißenberg ( 484.7  m above sea level ) in a meadow in the middle of the forest in the Gewann Im Gönnelswoog on the northern edge of the Brauntal nature reserve . He first digs a valley northwards between the slopes of the Großer Heinzenkopf ( 309.3  m above sea level ) and the mountain An der Stirne ( 400.6  m above sea level ) and there crosses the L 478 , which it constantly continues on its way will accompany.
