Around Dahlen
Around Dahlen is an enduro event that has been held regularly in and around the town of Dahlen in northern Saxony since 1955 . It usually takes place on a weekend in March or early April. Until 1990 the event was held under the name Rund um den Collm .

In the early years, starting from Oschatz, a course was driven around the Collmberg in the southern part of the Oschatz district , later the route shifted towards Wermsdorf Forest and Dahlener Heide . At the beginning of the 1960s, the city of Dahlen established itself as an event center.
In 1963 the event was for the first time a run for the GDR championship in off-road sport . At the same time, the start and finish were set on the Dahlen market, which has remained unchanged since then. The Parc fermé is also traditionally located on the market square.
In 1963 the MC Dahlen was founded in the ADMV , which had emerged from a base of the previously lead MC Oschatz, and took over the organization. In 1969 the event had to be canceled due to massive storm damage in the forests, in 1975 the club's motocross track on the Dahlen castle hill was added to the program for the first time.
The year 1986 marked a high point at Rund um den Collm: In Dahlen, a race for the “Cup for Peace and Friendship of the Socialist Countries” was held with corresponding driver participation.
After the political change in 1990, the event could not be continued for the time being. The new edition followed in 1994 by the MSC Dahlen eV , which was formed in 1992 in the ADAC and has been the organizer of the event since then. The name also changed to “Around Dahlen”. Since 1996 Rund um Dahlen has been held regularly as a competition for the German Enduro Championship. In 2003, the first and so far only run of the Enduro European Championship was held.
Since 2013, the first special stage of the overall event has been a prologue in a smaller area with artificial obstacles. In the same year, the event fell victim to the weather: In view of massive snow drifts on the route and extreme frost announced for the day of the ride, drivers understandably refused to start in these conditions. The run was canceled without replacement, only the prologue was held (on a voluntary basis).
As a result of major forest damage caused by storm Burglind and shortly afterwards even more by storm Friederike in January 2018, the event had to be canceled for this year without replacement. In March 2019, Rund um Dahlen was the first time a race and at the same time the kick-off event for the Enduro World Championship . At the same time, there was also a competition run for the German Enduro Championship.
Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic , the event had to be canceled for 2020 without replacement.
