Ruslan Faritowitsch Sainullin ( Russian Руслан Фаритович Зайнуллин ; born February 14, 1982 in Kazan , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Ruslan Sainullin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Ak Bars Kazan , for whose professional team he was active in the super league from 1999 to 2002 . In his rookie year he also came in parallel to two appearances for Neftjanik Leninogorsk in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . After he had also started the 2003/04 season in Kazan, with which he was runner-up in 2000 and 2002, he ended the season with his league rivals Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . From 2003 to 2006 he was under contract in the Russian capital, initially for one year with HK Dynamo Moscow and then for two years with HK Spartak Moscow .
From 2006 to 2010, Sainullin played for the HK MWD Balaschicha , with whom he participated in the newly founded Continental Hockey League from the 2008/09 season . With the HK MWD, the left-handed shooter was also defeated by his ex-club Ak Bars Kazan in the 2009/10 season in the final of the playoffs for the Gagarin Cup . After the season, the HK MWD was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the left-handed shooter received a contract for the 2010/11 season with their successor team OHK Dynamo .
From September 2013, Sainullin was under contract with HK CSKA Moscow , having played for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod the previous two seasons . He was also used at HK Kuban Krasnodar during the 2013/14 season .
International
For Russia , Sainullin took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2002 . At both tournaments he won medals with his team. First he was runner-up in 2000 with the U18 juniors and finally in 2002 with the U20 juniors.
