Ruslan Khazipov

Ruslan Khazipov ( Russian Руслан Айдарович Хазипов ; born March 23, 1989 in Kazan ) is a Russian composer and musician living in Germany .

Live and act

Until 2012, Ruslan Khazipov lived mainly in his hometown of Kazan . In Kazan he learned piano and guitar in a music school from 2000–2004 and then continued his autodidactic training. In 2012 Ruslan Khazipov moved to Freiburg im Breisgau to study composition at the University of Music . His composition professors were Brice Pauset , Jörg Widmann and Orm Finnendahl . In addition to studying composition, Ruslan Khazipov took harpsichord lessons with Robert Hill . In 2020 he successfully completed his master's degree at the Freiburg University of Music.

As a composer, Ruslan Khazipov deals with chamber and vocal music. His opera scene Voice of the Father (premiered in Freiburg in 2017) sets the text of the play of the same name by Andrei Platonov to music and is one of the very small series of musical works associated with Platonov's texts. Ruslan Khazipov's one-act opera The Cabalist is based on the story The Cabalist of East Broadway by Nobel Prize winner Isaac Bashevis Singer and was premiered in June 2019 at the Freiburg Theater. It is one of the first operas based on literary sources by Singer. Both opera works were also performed in Berlin, Stuttgart ( Wilhelma-Theater ) and Karlsruhe ( Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe ).

Compositions by Ruslan Khazipov were premiered by Schola Heidelberg , Brice Pauset and other musicians. His composition is dedication. A quartet for violin , viola and violoncello was published by the music publisher "Bellmannmusik".
