The Russenberg is located in Wellingdorf on the outskirts of Kiel towards Klausdorf . According to the official city atlas of Kiel, it is 41.2 m high.
Are at it, among other things under the name Rosenberg allotments leased. There are sometimes problems with waterlogging in the gardens .
It was first mentioned in 1764 as Rosenbergskamp , until 1870 it became the current name Russenberg . A Russenberg shooting range, which "extends" Lütjenburger Strasse, was used by the security police in Ellerbek . The street Russenberg was first listed in 1925 , from 1936 Am Russenberg , which disappeared from the city map in the 1970s.
